Meet Emily

Emily has dedicated her whole life to empowering young people to channel their natural curiosity for learning and developing. She is one semester away from completing her Masters Degree in Education and will be a fully credentialed teacher in Secondary Foundational Mathematics.

For more than a decade Emily has served as a Nanny and Babysitter to families of all backgrounds. She enjoys working with all ages, and believes in meeting a child where they are at, leaning in to their interests, and letting the child lead the learning.

She currently holds a valid Substitute Teaching Permit, as well as an Early Childhood Teaching Permit with authorization to provide care for Infants & Toddlers.

Her CPR + First Aid training are up to date for infants through adults. She has a 4 passenger vehicle, and a drivers license with a clean driving record.

Weeknights after 5pm, Weekends all day

Service Pricing

1-2 Children (0-12 years old) - $25/hr
3 Children (0-12 years old) - $27/hr
4-5 Children (0-12 years old) - $30/hr
*3 hour minimum per booking
**Sliding scale pricing available on a case by case basis
K-5th Grade Tutoring - $35/hr
6th-8th Grade Tutoring - $40/hr
High School/SAT Tutoring - $50/hr
(ELA & Math up to Algebra II)
*Sliding scale pricing available on a Case by Case basis
Flat Rate negotiated per Job
I can help booking a venue (e.g. Park or recreation center), booking vendors, errand running (cake& pizza), amazon orders, set-up decorations, take down and clean up.
I can run activity stations like arts & crafts or lawn games or scavenger hunts.
House (no pets) - $25/day
House with many Plants or Small Pets (e.g. fish, reptile) - $30/day
House with Large Pets (e.g. dog or cat) - $40/day
*Dogs that require a walk will be an additional $10 per walk.
$30/hr or Flat Rate per project
Services include: House-keeping, file digitization, organization, help selling/donating items, tech support, errands (shopping, car repairs, prescription pick up)

What areas do you serve?
I am located in Oakland but I can drive to you within a 20 mile radius. I can also host you at my house for tutoring.
Do you have any special skills as a babysitter?
I have experience cooking, cleaning, school tutoring, and working with children with special needs.
Do you provide Overnight childcare?
Yes, on the weekends. Pricing will be adjusted accordingly.
Can you watch my pets at your house?
No. My residence does not allow pets.
What services do you provide as a house-sitter?
Mail/Package collection, watering plants, shoveling walkways.
