about me
I Believe everyone has a super power to share with the world.
For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed inspiring young people to reach for the stars. I have applied my enthusiasm for empowering people to my work in education, performing arts, technology, recreation management, project management, community enrichment and filmmaking. My passion for artistic activism started when I attended high school in the greater Sacramento area, but after a brief stint in southern California, I have found a home in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
With an undergraduate degree in Film Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, I have a unique perspective on human expression and the power it brings. Most recently I served the community of East San Jose as a K-8 Elective Film Teacher at Alpha Blanca Alvarado. Currently I am pursuing my teaching credential and master’s degree in education.

Teaching during a Pandemic.
The 2020-21 school year was full of ups and downs, but I could not have been more grateful the school community that helped me realize my dedication to the field of education. Click below to read my blog reflecting on my first year of classroom teaching.
“Do unto others”
From a young age I was motivated to help others and to do projects that help make the world a better place. Here I am pictured with my younger brother filling the back of my dad’s pick-up truck for a neighborhood donation drive.
“Center Stage”
I started performing in elementary school, and continued all the way through college. I have developed skills in singing, dancing, acting, and choreography. Here I am with my church youth group performing in the semi-annual Road Show competition.
Service.
In 2014 I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity during Santa Barbara City College’s United Day of Caring. Together with other college students we helped to build new houses for deserving families.
Leadership.
In 2013 as a Senior I was recognized by Oak Ridge High School for my original choreography for the Children’s Show: Flat Stanley the Musical.
Performance.
In 2016 I performed in the Santa Barbara City College Dance Showcase where I danced in a hip-hop piece. Under the school’s director of dance I also took classes in choreography, ballet and jazz.
